is rural and is in the heart of the Somerset Wetlands. We are
just 45 minutes away from the World Heritage Lyme Regis and Charmouth
coastline famous among fossil hunters (www.charmouth.org).
The historic
market town of Langport is just one mile away and gives ready
access to the River Parrett trail. The unique geography of the
area makes it a popular destination for wildlife and birds. We
can advise you on activities such as riding, golf, squash, tennis
and other sports or leisure activities as well as information
on local theatres and clubs.
Curry
Rivel is conveniently situated to the many varied attractions
in Somerset including Cheddar Gorge, the Fleet Air Arm Museum
at Yeovilton, Haynes Motor Museum, Cricket St Thomas Wildlife
Park and Glastonbury Tor and Abbey. We are close to National
Trust properties at Montacute, Tintinhull Gardens and Forde
Abbey.
The parish church
of St Andrew's, built of local blue lias stone with hamstone
facings, dates from the 15th Century.
